Zhik started through the need for innovation in the dinghy sailing market post-Athens Olympics 2004. Zhik has always innovated and is expanding on its research and development with new projects in material science likely to change many facets of performance apparel, including eco-friendly alternatives for a more sustainable future.
In addition, Zhik is now growing to include new technical products that will appeal to a larger set of outdoor and marine applications. AE came on to help Zhik redefine its business model and, with that resource, much of its supply base, keeping in mind the highly technical nature Zhik's products have. AE worked with the CEO right down to junior designers to bring insight into achieving new cost strictures within the business.
AE co-founder went on multiple trips to Asia with the team at Zhik, worked with them on new designs and range concepts, and saw very successful sales and revenue increases. Subsequently, he was appointed to the board of directors due to his contributions.
